Terms of Service

1. 1.La Porte lets you design a digital wedding invitation, preview it, publish it, and share it with your guests by link. Guests can open the invitation, reply to your RSVP form and leave messages in the guestbook, and you can see their replies.
2. 2.Creating and previewing an invitation is free. You pay when you choose to publish it (see section 5). You can check every design, animation and feature in the free preview before you pay.
3. 3.Once published and paid for, your invitation stays available with no time limit, and you can keep editing it at no extra cost (subject to section 11).
4. 4.We may improve or change designs, layouts and features over time. We will not remove the core features of an invitation you have already paid for, and if a change is unavoidable we will tell you in advance where we can.

1. 1.You can sign up with a social login (such as Google) or another method we offer. You must give accurate information and keep your account secure.
2. 2.You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if higher, to create an account.
3. 3.You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed it.
4. 4.You can delete your account at any time in the service or by emailing support@laportecard.com. Deleting your account deletes your invitations and the RSVP replies and guestbook messages on them, so guests will no longer be able to open them.

1. 1.You keep all rights to the text, photos and other material you add to your invitation (“your content”).
2. 2.You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize, format, transmit and display your content only as needed to run the service for you (for example, to show your invitation to the guests you share it with). This licence ends when you delete the invitation, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain for a short time in backups.
3. 3.We will not use your content to advertise La Porte without your separate permission.
4. 4.You confirm that you have the right to use your content, and that people who appear in your photos or whose details you include (for example, parents’ names) are happy for it to be shared.
5. 5.An invitation can be opened by anyone who has its link. Please think about what you include before you share it.
6. 6.The designs, illustrations, animations and other parts of the service belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as part of your invitation.

1. 1.You decide which RSVP questions to ask (for example, plus-one name, meal choice, dietary needs or which events a guest will attend). You can see the replies and guestbook messages your guests leave.
2. 2.Use guest information only to plan and run your wedding, and do not share it for other purposes.
3. 3.Dietary needs and allergies may reveal health or religious information. These questions are optional, are only collected with the guest’s explicit consent, and are used only to tell you. See our Privacy Policy.

1. 1.Paid features are sold per invitation. The price, what is included and any launch discount are shown on the checkout screen before you pay.
2. 2.Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle sells the purchase to you, processes your payment, calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT that applies, and handles payment inquiries, returns and refunds. Paddle’s Buyer Terms and privacy notice also apply to the checkout and will be shown to you there.
3. 3.Payment is taken when you publish. Your invitation is published immediately after payment is confirmed.

1. 1.If you paid but your invitation has not been published yet (for example, because of a technical problem on our side), you can cancel within 14 days of payment for a full refund.
2. 2.Because you can fully preview your invitation for free before paying, and publishing starts the supply of digital content immediately, you agree when you pay that you lose your right to cancel once the invitation is published, to the extent permitted by the law of your country.
3. 3.This does not affect your statutory rights. If your invitation does not work as described or has a defect that we cannot fix within a reasonable time, contact us and we will repair it or refund you.
4. 4.Refund requests are handled together with Paddle, our Merchant of Record. See our Refund Policy. Email support@laportecard.com with your order details. Refunds are returned to your original payment method.
5. 5.If an invitation is refunded, it may be unpublished so guests can no longer open it.

You agree not to:

1. ·use the service for anything other than invitations to your own (or your family’s) event (no advertising, spam, phishing or scams);
2. ·upload content that infringes anyone’s rights, or that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or violent;
3. ·impersonate anyone or use someone else’s information without permission;
4. ·interfere with the service, or access or collect data from it by automated means without our permission;
5. ·post abusive messages in a guestbook.

We may remove content or suspend an invitation or account that breaks these rules. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and explain why.

The service uses third-party services such as social login providers, Google Maps (we send only the venue address to show the map) and the payment reseller. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

We work hard to keep the service reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for the content of invitations or guestbook messages posted by users, but we act on reports of unlawful content.

1. 1.To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
2. 2.To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the invitation concerned in the 12 months before the claim.
3. 3.Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

We may pause the service for maintenance or because of events beyond our control. If we decide to close the service, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance by email and on the site, and explain what will happen to invitations you have paid for.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. We would always prefer to resolve a problem by email first.

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date, and for significant changes we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the service. Changes do not apply to purchases made before they take effect.
